A huge limitation of the parser is that it doesn't work on most recipe sites. There's like 3 that I frequent that I'm able to pull with Nextcloud Cookbook. The rest I have to manually copy paste in.

Recently I tried out Using RecipeSage and I noticed the parser they use is much more compatible and also a separate component from the main app, listed under RecipeClipper. I was wondering if it would be possible to integrate it as a supplementary parser for Nextcloud Cookbook.

There was already a similar issue #388 where a switch to browser-sided parsing was made. In fact this has the same problem: As the web frontend we are not allowed to access foreign websites directly. So, this script cannot access the website unless we somehow include it in that page which is not as easy as it seems: a normal browser's job is to keep the web sites apart. (Would you like if Facebook would be able to parse all opened tabs and read your bank account data?)
It might be manageable by doing it using a bookmarklet #431 but needs further investigation.
