Hi, I really like using Nextcloud, but not the news app so far. Reasons are missing functions and bad GUI or overview of the news. As soon as this improves, I would be very happy to move to the app within Nextcloud.

Here's a suggestion for improvement: introduce bookmarks and bookmark lists!
It would be great if users could create bookmark lists, analogous to folders, and put RSS they want to read later on these lists.

Here is an idea #269 that sounds similar but is not really the same.

As I understand it, it's different.

To use the bookmarks app for this, I would have to go out of the news app and create a bookmark manually, right?

What I would like is to be able to create bookmarks and lists within the news app. That way, when going through the feed, you could quickly decide what to read now, later or what not to read at all...

Maybe something in the far future. Currently the big blocker is the outdated frontend.

There is some work being done to replace it but we of course don't know when and if it will be finished.
As long as that is not done it doesn't make much sense to try and implement new features.
