The default setting to mark as read is exactly meant for this. I don't really see a benefit in having another feature that does the same thing so I won't be putting any effort in it. But if you make a pull request I'll happily review it. |

Doesn't the default behaviour mark all articles as read that I scroll past? This shortcut would be a benefit over this because it would make the "mark as read" explicit. Only those articles are "read" which the user explicitly sets as read. If the user only scrolls around, no article is marked as read. Or do I misunderstand the default behaviour? |

At the moment, I alternate between clicking into articles to mark them as read and tapping "n" on the keyboard to go to the next article. I couldn't find a solution in the Web UI to do both with only one key or click. Is there some way to achieve this? If not, I'd vote for a new shortcut which both marks the currently selected article as read and selects the next one (like "n" key does). Optionally also a shortcut for "mark as unread and to to last article".
I should add that I have the option "don't mark as read while scrolling" activated because I don't want an accidental scroll to mark all my articles as read.
