[Bug]: Retry update fails at 'Downloading' with no error shown

Bug description

If update fails during downloading step with this error:

Message: Not authenticated

then Retry in the updater wizard will never work. Also, no error is shown, except the ❌.

Steps to reproduce

1. Open updater from web interface admin UI
2. Start update
3. Update may fail at Downloading
4. After pressing retry it fails instantly again without any error shown.

After going back to the home page and repeating the above steps I could update successfully.

Expected behavior

Updater should show the error under Downloading. Retry seems to get stuck using a cached request.

Today it worked. I simply restarted the upgrade which did not work before as I tried.

I have the same issue today (again again), when trying to upgrade from v32.0.0 to v32.0.1.

The root-cause is simple, the server (https://download.nextcloud.com/) gets overloaded with upgrade requests across the world. And the download is very slow (in like 20-50 kbit/s speeds). Eventually the Web UI will time-out and step 4 of the upgrade will fail.

Resulting in errors like this:

An alternative solution is to use CLI upgrade script instead, hopefully not have any time-out issues on your command line:

sudo -E -u www-data php /var/www/nextcloud/updater/updater.phar

That being said, I still believe this is a workaround. So devs, do not close this ticket as resolved.

The real solution must be two things:

1. Make the Downloading (step 4) more robust, and less likely to cause these kind of errors. If possible... Despite higher PHP execution timeouts in the php.ini files
2. Finally, the best solution would be that Nextcloud moves to Fastly or something, where they can store their NC artifacts (zip files), meaning during a new release. Which causes a single server to be throttled for the amount of outbound traffic from all the upgrades world-wide.

Nextcloud really need to move to some kind of CDN solution here asap. Because this is already an issue for years now.
