The current proposed solution using circles with a variety of shades and colors pose an accessibility issue and is not a scaleable solution.
The text next to the colored indicator does elevate some of the concern for the user not understanding the state/status in this specific case. However, the scaleability of the colored circle has little value and cannot stand on it's own in the event of using it elsewhere in a situation where there is no space for text.
My initial instincts lead me to believe we'll need to investigate a more detailed version of the indicator more similar to an iconographic approach.
The concept of status is a commonly used pattern which overlaps our table, we should look to keep some continuity in how we represent status
