Completion fails with `blink.cmp`

I installed glsl_analyzer with Mason and got the above error when opening the auto completion window. I'm not totally sure what the error is in particular but I'm quite sure that it's related to the lsp rather than the completion

i ran into this same issue when using nvim 0.12 and it worked fine when I went back to the latest release version of nvim to 11.5.

For folks who prefer to stay on 0.12, here's a workaround.

• Setup glsl_analyzer normally. Here's an excerpt from one of my nvim lua files:

vim.lsp.config("glsl_analyzer", {
	cmd = { "glsl_analyzer" },
	filetypes = { "glsl", "vert", "tesc", "tese", "frag", "geom", "comp" },
	root_markers = { ".git", ".jj" },
})
vim.lsp.enable("glsl_analyzer")

• Disable blink.cmp for glsl files, following the official instructions
• Now, auto-completion won't work via blink, but you can use nvim 0.12's native auto-completion, start typing then hit <C-x><C-o> to see the completion popup. This isn't as good as blink (yet, maybe someday?), but it gets the job done. More info available in nvim using :help lsp (search for completion)
• Importantly, glsl_analyzer still powers things like (built-in) completion, symbol documentation, go-to, etc.

Exact same issue with nvim-cmp and neovim 0.12

As a workaround you can disable nvim-cmp autocompletion for glsl in init.vim with:

autocmd FileType glsl lua require('cmp').setup.buffer { enabled = false }
