nillion-devnet
for local development- a funded Nilchain private key for Testnet development
-
Clone the repository:
-
Create and activate a virtual environment:
python3 -m venv .venv source .venv/bin/activate # On macOS/Linux .venv\Scripts\activate # On Windows
-
Install the required packages:
pip install -r requirements.txt
For local development, simply run nillion-devnet
and make sure that all .streamlit/sects.toml variables are commented out. Because these aren't present, the app will automatically use your local devnet configuration and payment key.
To connect to the Nillion testnet:
-
Create a streamlit secrets file:
mkdir -p .streamlit cp .streamlit/secrets.example.toml .streamlit/secrets.toml
-
Edit
.streamlit/secrets.toml
to add a valid Nillion Network configuration and a funded Nilchain key
Also add a Base Sepolia enabled Alchemy API Key to the file - alchemy_api_key
Start the local streamlit app:
streamlit run app.py
