Hmm, seems like we are indeed missing a step for creating source distributions:

@Griger5, merging #467 and creating a new release indeed triggered a source-wheel upload, but it did not succeed:

ERROR    HTTPError: 400 Bad Request from https://upload.pypi.org/legacy/        
         File too large. Limit for project 'PyPartMC' is 100 MB. See            
         https://docs.pypi.org/project-management/storage-limits#requesting-a-fi
         le-size-limit-increase for more information.  

The binary wheels are all <5MB in size, hence there is clearly some surplus content in the source archive. As visible in the screenshot in the original issue post above, earlier source tarballs had <3MB.

We have the MANIFEST.in file which details the contents of the package, perhaps it needs some fine-tuning?
