Display images/documents already while they are not 100% downloaded yet

Describe the bug

On the Opencloud App I can see all my files, but when I try to open them, they get downloaded and this takes some time. I don't want to download every picture or document when I scroll through the cloud. I want to stream the files like it's working on the browser on my laptop. I can open files there instantly and don't need extra space. The setting "Download instead of streaming" is turned off in the settings.

Expected behavior

Pictures and documents get streamed from the server instead of downloading.

Actual behavior

Pictures and documents are getting downloaded before I can open them.

@JammingBen Sorry wrong repo. The Android app does NOT have this "Download instead of streaming" option, only the iOS app does.
Could you move to here? https://github.com/opencloud-eu/ios
Also maybe title needs to be adjusted since the issue report looks like for iOS.

Pictures and documents are streamed from the server instead of downloading

Note it says "Media Files" in the settings.
Can you please specify which kind of file it is, which size, etc. Maybe even a sample file so we can try to reproduce.

@guruz @JammingBen This "Bug" actually happens both on IOS and Android. It happens with PDF and PNG/JPEG for me, but probably is happening with all file types.
When I open a PNG for example a window pops up and shows me the file size and the downloading progress. It doesn't show up in my local files or photo app but it seems like it downloads it so I can access the file locally.

After that there also shows up symbol which probably means that the file is downloaded to local storage.

I don't really know if it's bug or a "bad feature".
But the experience is very bad... If I want to take a look at old photos where each photo has ~4mb, then every pictures needs to download ~2sec. at a normal internet speed of 100mbit/s.
The experience on the browser is perfect, because the pictures are loaded in milliseconds, because the files are probably streamed instead of downloaded.

I agree with you.
When viewing the file it probably should display the cached thumbnail first so the user seems something.
And the stream the file display instead of waiting for finished.
