🧠 About the Law

The Aesthetic–Usability Effect states that users often perceive visually attractive interfaces as easier to use, even when the underlying functionality remains unchanged.

A well-designed interface builds trust, reduces perceived complexity, and creates a smoother user experience—purely through visual appeal and clarity.

🧩 Task Description

You are provided with a basic or cluttered UI screen in the task description.

Your task is to redesign this UI to make it:

  • Visually clean
  • Well-spaced
  • More pleasant and intuitive to use

⚠️ The functionality and purpose must remain the same.
🎯 Your goal is to improve perceived usability through better visual design.

A sample design is provided below for reference. You are not required to replicate it, instead create your own unique design.

Your redesign should demonstrate improvement in:

  • Visual appeal
  • Spacing and layout balance

✅ What You Must Do

  • Redesign only the UI, not the logic or flow
  • Keep the same content and functionality
  • Improve aesthetic quality without adding new features
  • Ensure the screen feels simple, modern, and usable

🚫 Important Rule — No AI Slop Allowed

  • ❌ AI-generated UI designs are NOT allowed
  • ❌ Do not submit auto-generated layouts
  • ❌ Blindly copying templates will be rejected
  • ✅ Your design must show intentional visual decisions

AI tools may be used only for reference or learning, not for generating the final UI.

✨ Optional Enhancements

  • Short explanation of your design choices
  • Before → After comparison
  • Improved accessibility (contrast, font size, spacing)
  • Subtle micro-interactions (if applicable)
