Keyboard bug

What is the bug or the crash? What were your expectations and what actually happened?

Since this week, when creating an entity and selecting a text input field, the keyboard freezes and I can't type anything. It also appears and disappears randomly. I've reproduced this issue on a Samsung tablet and a Galaxy A54 5G phone. Qfield, the phone and the tablet are up to date. No problem reported last week, only from this week. No problem on iphone. No problem with certain project.

Steps to reproduce the issue

QFlore.zip

1. Open the project Qflore
2. Edit "Sondage Pédologique"
3. Add an entity
4. Try to type something in the "Altitude" field or switching tab
5. See error

No problem with the project below (soilredox):

• I have a fresh install of the latest QField version, but the problem persists.
• Problem can be reliably reproduced, doesn't happen randomly.
• Problem happens with all files and projects, not only some files or projects.

@HugoCMT , thanks, this looks quite bad. Could you try to see if the issue disappears when switching your virtual keyboard from samsung's OS provided keyboard to Google's gboard?

Close QField, install gboard via the play store, enable the keyboard and make sure it's the default one, relaunch QField, test :)

The issue does not disappear with gboard. Same issue.
