Description
I noticed that in the sample app, it only allows the creation of folders, documents, sheets, and presentations, but not files. Why is file creation excluded? It would be essential to include this for demo purposes.
The primary use case would be to showcase when a user creates a file directly from the sample app and then downloads it to their device for editing with another app that has the necessary editing capabilities. The opposite use case, where the user creates the file locally and uploads it first, feels a bit unnatural and less intuitive.
Additionally, I am unclear on why Dropbox allows the creation of Google Docs, Google Sheets, and Google Slides that cannot be opened or downloaded. What is the use case for allowing this behavior? If these file types/extensions aren't fully supported for opening or downloading, perhaps it would be better not to show them as creation options for providers that don’t support them.
I’d love to hear your thoughts on these points. Thank you!
