I have some imagery layers I was hoping could be included in the OSMF hosted layers if possible?
The City of Melbourne publish three Aerial Imagery layers on their open data portal:
These are CC BY 4.0 licensed and we have a waiver for use in OSM.
I've processed these into COG files based on my workflow at https://gitlab.com/andrewharvey/city-of-melbourne-cogeo and currently have them at
Due to the settings I used these are heavily compressed with WebP 50% such that tile requests in WebP are very fast as there's no conversion needed.
I have the 2018 and 2019 layers currently hosted on Mapbox and in the ELI at https://github.com/osmlab/editor-layer-index/tree/gh-pages/sources/oceania/au/vic however I want to move them off Mapbox to prevent unexpected usage costs.
I had a go at running TiTiler and found it worked well, so an alternative is I could setup a small cloud server running TiTiler for these, but I think it's best to have them on OSMF infrastructure (maybe one day I or someone else can get our local chapter to the point where they can also host it).
