Updates to BlueTrace code...and activity on open source project

I am trying to build a COVID tracing app using the BlueTrace protocol as implemented in this sample code base, but I have experienced issues with battery life. I have been told there are updates that improve this (one update showing up in the Australia version of the app), but it would be more useful to see any updates show up here.

Is there continued work being done on this project? If so where can we see the updates? I would volunteer to create library projects for both platforms, including Flutter adapters using library projects, but I want to make sure this open source project is intended to continue and be supported. Can anyone answer this?
