DNS hammering for OCI remote

I have many servers where Fluentd with the OCI plugin 
is requesting resolves to the OCI Log Analytics target 
at a rate of several hundred to thousands per second, 
for the same OCI target. 

Is there a variable to cache this within the application?
Vs. looking up the same DNS target over and over again?
