Adding a placeholder?

Maybe the question is a bit silly, but I'm wondering if there is any way to display a placeholder if no value is selected without adding an <option /> with an empty value on first position in the list.

By adding option hidePlaceholder: false to the option of TomSelect, we got something like:

Thomas Edison is the first <option /> of the <select /> component which seems to be preselected. I still don't know know how I can handle it.
