Decentralized Architecture

This is my idea of the architecture for how we can make it hosted for free, managed freely and secure.

Ideas

• We can make anyone who wants a storage provider. Just like miners in cryptocurrencies or peers in torrent.
• We also need relays for the peers that do not want to/cannot open port but can connect to another server to share the content.
• We can have verification servers which will contain the hashes for the chunks of videos. These verification servers must be secure so they can be centralized as they will contain important information and this way we can block 51% attacks.
• There should be a reward for each successful chunk download which should be fair (not sending all traffic to same nodes), not expoitable (e.g. self-rewarding).

Details

• This architecture is inspired from Solana coin (Proof-of-Stake), Torrent and NFTs.
• We need to store videos in chunks. That way it will be more flexible and better for clients to download.
• For content creators, when uploading video, videos must be parsed to chunks in browser. Then its hash should be sent directly from the uploader/creator.
• Reward verification server: When client requests a peer to download a chunk, it should first get a token and a random relay/peer address to connect. This relay/peer must be decided by reward verification server fairly. Then the peer should verify the token with reward verification server.
• Peers should put some small amount of money before starting to work (stake). This stake should be taken away when peer sends a data that doesn't match the hash. That way we can decrease the amount of bad nodes, however we need a strong mechanism for that to work. Good nodes should not be reported as bad.

I might add new ideas/edit existing ones as I think on this more.
