No signing certificate "iOS Development" found

Steps to reproduce

1. Set up a "Development" and "Distribution" Certificate via Codemagic's Personal Account Settings
2. Create an "App Store Connect" provisioning profile
3. Import the provisioning profile into Codemagic
4. Set up automatic code signing following https://docs.codemagic.io/flutter-code-signing/ios-code-signing/
5. Configure your build to use an "App store" provisioning profile type
6. Start the build

Expected results

Automatic Code Signing Works

Actual results

Failed to build iOS app
Error (Xcode): No signing certificate "iOS Development" found: No "iOS Development" signing certificate matching team ID "9T99CSC57Y" with a private key was found.

Hello @micheljung,
From the error message, there seems to be no iOS Development or Distribution signing certificates found. Did you create any of these in your App store connect account i.e. an account with the team ID 9T99CSC57Y?
Please double check this on your end.

Yes, like described in Step 1., I created both via Codemagic in my Account with the team ID 9T99CSC57Y :

I understand, from the error message, that an iOS Development certificate seems to be messing. But, as can be seen, I do have one, which was set up by Codemagic.

Correction: Actually, it's an "Apple Development" certificate, not the (old) "iOS App Development" certificate. But that's what Codemagic creates.

Thanks for sharing these and for double-checking.
From experience, it could also be that this is related to a configuration in your Podfile. Can you please add the below to your post_install to include the Team ID.

config.build_settings["DEVELOPMENT_TEAM"] = " Your Team ID  "

Something like below:

post_install do |installer|
  installer.generated_projects.each do |project|
    project.targets.each do |target|
        target.build_configurations.each do |config|
            config.build_settings["DEVELOPMENT_TEAM"] = " Your Team ID  "
         end
    end
  end
end

Please try this out and kindly share an update with me on how it goes

Hi @dam-ease,

I tried your suggestion but it did not fix the issue. But also, I don't know which iOS/Xcode files were correct and which weren't. I hired someone with a Mac to fix this for me. Now I have a working CI workflow using a codemagic.yaml. Based on this, I will be able to test the original Codemagic workflow again and report back. This may take some weeks though.
