Hi @LadyKerr, great initiative! I already read the FAQ, and I was wondering if the certifications shouldn't show automatically up like the Github profile badges/achievements. Thank you for your time!

I was wondering the same thing. After going through all the GitHub documentation on certifications, I couldn't find any mention of badges/achievements automatically showing up on profiles.

I believe if it's not mentioned, it might not be in the current plan. They usually make such features explicit in their documentation. If there are updates on this, it'll likely be communicated.

Hi GitHub team, I have attempted all 75 questions for GitHub Foundations certifications exam, but results showed 35/60 score. Why 60 count and not the 75 total.

Not a member of the GitHub team, but I'll try to answer 🙂

Some standardized tests will include extra questions that don't count for or against your score. This often is to test out the questions, to see if the extra questions should be added in to the question pool. If the majority of test-takers with a passing score got the extra question wrong, it's a sign that the question is too hard or poorly worded. If the majority of failing test-takers got the extra question right, it's a sign that the question is too easy. So you answer 60 "real" questions, and then an additional 25% ($1.25 * 60 = 75$) extra questions to "beta test" those questions. At least, that's my theory.

This is fantastic news! The launch of GitHub certifications seems incredibly valuable, especially for those looking to validate their skills. I'm particularly interested in the GitHub Foundations Certification and have been preparing for it. I took a GitHub Foundations practice test and found it extremely helpful for successful exam preparation. Now I'm feeling fully confident about performing well in the actual exam!

I’m keep it short and simple…. I did learn a lot about GitHub with my git skills but when I did the GitHub Foundations practices tests from different sources (ask if you would like to know) I kept getting 81-89% and when I did the real test today I pass with a 67%…….. don’t know what happen there but was not happy…… at least I pass I guess.
