Using LAMP stack with codespaces

Hey I have a project that uses the LAMP stack. right now I am using aws Lightsail and I want to move to codespaces. I installed the php-mariadb container. should I put the project files in /var/www/html so that Apache can serve the files? when I try this i get this error:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access this resource.

Apache/2.4.59 (Debian) Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 8080

do I need to do more configuration for the project to work?

Hi @raztam ,

We recommend that you check permissions for your Apache configuration:

• Ensure that the files in /var/www/html have the correct permissions. The web server user (usually www-data on Debian-based systems) should have read access to these files.

sudo chown -R www-data:www-data /var/www/html
sudo chmod -R 755 /var/www/html

• Check Apache Configuration: Confirm that the Apache configuration allows access to the /var/www/html directory. Check /etc/apache2/apache2.conf and ensure the following configuration is present and not commented out:

<Directory /var/www/>
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    AllowOverride None
    Require all granted
</Directory>
