Is it possible to search users by "company" from their public profile?

I've tried "org:Apple" but this returns only users from Apple in their Organizations which is not what I want.

Hey!

You can try using the GitHub user search syntax to find users by their company, like this:

user:location apple

This will search for users who have "Apple" in their public profiles. Keep in mind, it depends on how the users list their company name in their profiles.

Alternatively, if you're comfortable with using the GitHub API, you can run a search query like this:

https://api.github.com/search/users?q=company:apple

This should give you more precise results without restricting it to just the organization.

Searching for user:location apple didn't return anything:

Searching for in:profile apple returned "apple" in their public profiles. However, I would like to filter specifically on "company" from their public profiles. Is that possible?

I've also tried GraphQL and managed to get till this part where I can see that GraphQL has "company" under "nodes" but I'm unable to figure out a way to expand the search for "company" : "apple" to all users (not just "apple" Organization)
