Work Summary for January 2025

This report follows the updates from the December 2024 report and highlights key developments and activities for January. The focus this month has been on event planning, strategic partnerships, governance proposals, frontend improvements, and community engagement.

Event Planning & Governance Proposals

1. ETHDenver 2025 Participation

• Applied for space at the Blockspace Mansion alongside Polkadot for ETHDenver.
• Submitted a proposal for ETHDenver attendance, ensuring representation at one of the most significant Ethereum ecosystem events.

I am looking forward to making connections at ETHDenver and showcasing Darwinia’s ecosystem. This will be a great opportunity to create valuable content for Helixbox and Darwinia’s social media presence. Community & DAO Engagement

2. RingDAO Roundtable Co-Hosting

This month, we successfully co-hosted a RingDAO roundtable with the following organizations:

• Tashi Protocol
• Kleros
• Cypher-Crypto

The session focused on governance, decentralized dispute resolution, and financial tools in the DeFi ecosystem.

3. Helix DAO Deck

• Worked with Eve on finalizing the Helix DAO deck, aligning our messaging and presentation to external stakeholders.

4. Interview Process for Frontend Role

• Conducted interviews to recruit a new frontend developer, ensuring smooth continuity in technical development, UI/UX improvements, and meeting project requirements.

5. Collaboration with Absinthe Labs

• Initiated conversations with Absinthe Labs to explore a points program aimed at increasing community engagement and retention.

Frontend Development Updates

1. ENS Support for Collator Staking Website

• Improved ENS name support for the collator-staking-ui-v2 website, ensuring proper resolution for Ethereum subdomains.
  • Issue: #31
  • PR: #33
• Due to high RPC request volume and slow on-chain processing, full resolution optimization was not feasible, and the team decided to pause further development on this issue for now.

2. RING DAO Website Enhancements

• Added two new elements to the RING DAO website as part of an improved design rollout.

3. MsgPort New Design Fixes

• Addressed remaining issues with code block rendering on the MsgPort website.
  • Fixes implemented in the previously open PR: #39
