Looking good π Maybe make the background of the unit switcher a little darker or a light border so new users will recognize them as a button quicker. Are there plans to make plugin devs extend the new nested element? So we can create own widgets that allow people to drag in other containers? Couldn't find anything in the docs yet. |

I am not sure if it will be possible to add it in this version or not. But the Hover Animation option for Tab items > Hover Mode was great. Another thing that exists in the nested tab is that if we place a widget in the content and then click on another tab, we will enter the next tab with a delay of 1 second. |

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, But if we write CSS math functions and then, intentionally or unintentionally, choose another unit such as px and then return to CSS math functions, CSS math functions will be removed. css.functions.mp4 |

in row container, Add a widget such as a button. On the Advanced tab, set the margin left or right to auto. It doesn't seem to work. |

First thing thanks for adding custom fields to the line-up, can't wait for it to be released. π My feedback so far is that I'm personally not a fan of the expanding dimension fields, I can understand expanding with custom input enabled but not much with standard inputs. Just my opinion as others may have requested that. (Still waiting for the Elementor team to fix the decimal place issue when the inputs are linked) Can you please add custom input to more widget fields as if I'm understanding this right in the code you have made it simple that all you need to add is 'custom' to the size_units to make it work. Or are you holding off until the next version to test the water and to stress test? Also when you set margin auto (or any margin value) on a widget it seems the margin applied is internal rather than the parent so it is a shame it doesn't tick that box for me but likely won't get fixed due to historic current margin structure in place. But at least with the new custom input I can finally use a container to set it to width auto then set that margin auto to work. Margin auto widget vs container2022-12-13.21-00-26.mp4I also agree with @m1ga about making the unit switcher more obvious. I would say as well to make the button a bit bigger to click on too as it is too out of the way and not inviting to click or hover. To end my note, again thanks for the custom inputs it should introduce more possibilities for more designs. |

First of all thanks for the great features. 1- In some fields, such as width and height in the container, when we click on the field, its width expands. I think this is a very unnecessary feature and there is no need to expand the width in these fields. (It is very useful in padding and margin fields, but not in fields like width and height) 2- As someone who has been working with Elementor for two years, I have never used the slider controls to change the values ββof width, height or other options such as Gap between elements. I always type the desired number directly. This is the easiest way. Slide controls on numeric fields seem to be deprecated and only exist. |

One more thing, which of course is not related to this version. I will raise it and if it can be solved, I will open a new issue for it... In padding and margin fields, when we turn off the value link, all 4 values ββwill be automatically set to 0. If we want to remove it to write the desired number, we must first select it and then write the desired number. This is really annoying. now : Intended : |

If we use the number scrubber to change the values ββin the margin and padding fields, the width of the values ββwill not expand. |

In the new tab widget, in the style tab, we have customizations for content. Is there a special reason for adding the content customization section? |

Hi, first of all a really cool update, I have a few things that I will leave today or tomorrow as feedback for the new "Nested Elements" for the tab widget. π€ Finally removing Google Fonts completely is great! What has bothered me for a long time is that all are always displayed when selecting the font weight. This can also be the case, but only if all font styles from one font familiy are installed. Otherwise it would make much more sense to only show the font styles that have been uploaded. Let's say I work on the website with 2 different font weights, 300 and 500. Then I still have all of them to choose from, even though they have no function. And Bold and Normal doesn't make sense either, since these are always different values from font to font, and if you don't have Bold 700 and Normal 400 installed, you'll end up with weird font styles. It would be more useful if we have only the font weight that really installed. You may not have thought about it, but here's food for thought: |

Well, since there have been so many problems with Elementor, significant price raise, which wasn't followed by increased pace of development (it took a year to move Containers from Alpha to Beta, so perhaps another couple of months till it won't be considered an experiment), we decided to gradually move to Bricks and started playing with it now. Code semantics and building loops is at the level that Elementor most likely won't be able to ever achieve, without releasing a version with no backward compatibility. Though, obviously we have plenty of pages to manage, so most likely we will extend our license, so if there are some features our clients can benefit from, we will update Elementor for them. So somehow, we still will be participating in feedback.
https://euphoriarestobar.pl/menu/karta-glowna/ Though the Tabs are created with JetTabs, the best approach is to create vertical scrollbar for main Container/column inside a template, and then drop some basic css to enable horizontal scroll for Tabs. In this project we did it without a scrollbar, but in other we are showing this scrollbar, though on mobile it's not needed. And calcs and different controls for units for each direction is great addition, quite often custom css was needed. It is quite common that you want a fixed width with fixed units like px / rems, but flexible height with % or vh. So in my opinion, it would be extremely useful if Elementor added option, but not only for mobile, but also for desktop (with controls that allow you to choose where the effect should take place based on the breakpoint) so enable horizontal scroll for Tabs using: While creating arrows would require some JS, so a bit more difficult than horizontal scrollbar which is just couple of css lines, this functionality is already there with other widgets. Secondly, it would be great to implement something Crocoblock did recently (still in Beta). Query controls for widgets. So basically in case of Tabs you create just one tab, in the general Tabs settings you pick a query you want to run. Then for a tab name you set a term name or woo category name, and then in the content you create a post loop. Then it will autopopulate next tabs.
Elementor is fine when you can cache pages thus queries don't make direct requests to DB. But often you can't / shouldn't. What's great about loop building in Bricks is that you create loops and the Container/Block/Div level not through extra widget. Thus you can create multiple loops or even loops within loops without a need to create templates. Way, but like really way fewer DOM elements and fewer requests to DB. |

Question about nested tabs: How do I get a "smooth" transition like it's the case with accordion etc.? Is looks very choppy. You may be able to tackle this in the course of refreshing the widget. smooth.mp4 |

Since the unit selector has been updated in this version, let me point out a problem in the container that is not related to this version, but maybe it can be fixed in this version... In the structure panel, add a two-column container. Inside the parent container, we have two containers with a width of 50% on the desktop (Note that the default width of these two columns on the desktop is in percentage). But when we switch to tablet or mobile mode, the default unit changes from percentage to px. But the placeholder text displays the percentage vlaue. So is there a specific reason that the default width of containers on tablets and mobiles are converted to px? Please watch the following video : container.mp4As you can see in the video above, the default width on desktop was 25%, but tablet display it as 25px and mobile displays it as 100px. |

As you have acknowledged that Google fonts can be in breach of certain privacy laws, do you have plans to allow the ability to download within Elementor Google fonts so they are hosted on the site rather than through Google? Some page builders and themes have adopted this approach as well. I know it isn't something for this version but I just wanted to know if it will be something that will be implemented and if so how far out are we looking. |

There is a minor bug in the Grid loop that I explained in detail here. Please check it, maybe it can be solvable in this version. I did not write this bug here because it is not related to this version and it also occurs in version 3.9. |

I wanted to take this opportunity to share a suggestion with the Elementor team before the 3.10 release. Elementor team. We are really grateful to you for increasing the development speed of Elementor and introducing great features in every update. Also, thanks for interacting directly with your users like a friend. This is really a great event. Just create a beta version like now and ask users to report any bugs they know about. I personally cooperate with pleasure. I'm sure other users agree with this. I am addicted to Elementor. But to be honest, Elementor has a lot of simple bugs right now. Let's spend some time on them. If you implement this suggestion, it will have 2 very important advantages. 1- Most of the Elementor bugs will be fixed. cheersπ₯ |

For those of us trying out the dev versions: is it possible to have the changelog display when accessed via "View version 3.10.1 details", instead of the "Plugin not found." message? I am having a hard time finding the changelogs for Elementor in general. It should be somewhere on the site, easy to find. |

Very grateful for nested and tab update. But there is issue of tab in mobile: when you have second or third button of tab your content start from middle or end and not from start(you need to push the tab-title And second think I'm mobile setting the button are not real ux friendly. We need to put many css to make scrollable title or sticky title. I think we need more from tab widget |

Beta 3 UPDATED - PLEASE READ BELOW!
===========
Hi Elementor Beta Testers π
We are incredibly excited to introduce our new beta versions, Elementor and Elementor Pro 3.10, which introduce major new additions that will take your website design and responsiveness to a whole other level. These versions include the new Tabs widget, which is getting a complete overhaul.
Try out our new beta versions and let us know what you think about our newest additions, which include:
Meet Nested Elements - the future of design with Elementor widgets
Nested elements empower you to take any element and place it inside another widget. This unlocks full design flexibility, and enhances what youβre capable of doing with each widget in terms of what it looks like, and what content it includes. As Flexbox Containers are stable, we have spent the past few weeks revisiting all our old widgets, some created over 5 years ago, to enable nesting capabilities in every widget that it would be relevant for. These include creating widgets to replace Carousel, Accordion, Tabs, and more.
Elementor 3.10 includes the first widget, to include Nested Elements - Tabs. During the upcoming releases, we will gradually be introducing more of these widgets.
Introducing the Renewed Tabs Widget - The first Elementor nested widget, unlocking design flexibility
Elementor 3.10 includes the new Tabs widget as an alpha experiment, which allows you to elevate the design of your website and unleash your creativity when displaying tabs on your website. The new Tabs widget, which is container-based, will replace the existing Tabs widget and will enable you to nest elements within each tab, and make your design options with Tabs endless. The new Tabs widget has three main improvements:
To use the new Tabs widget, you will need to first enable the Flexbox Container and Nested Elements experiments, then the Tabs widget in the widget panel will automatically be replaced with the new Tabs widget.
How to Test It:
Introducing Custom Units: A new way to choose any unit you want, including CSS Math Functions
Many elements in the Editor include options for sizing, such as padding and margins, where you can choose between PX, EM, REM, %, VW, or VH units. Up until now, any time you would adjust the sizing of an element, you would have to choose one of these units. For example, if you wanted to add padding to an element, you would have to choose which measurement unit you wanted to use, you wouldnβt be able to use more than one.
With this update, the unit labels will be moved into a drop down menu, and you will be able to choose the new Custom option. Choosing custom will allow you to combine a number of different measurement units, as well as run calculations for the measurement of values within the value input field, that way you can achieve greater design accuracy and responsive support.
For example, when choosing the custom option in the typography size controls, you will be able to use the clamp() CSS function to adjust your typography size to different device sizes, or the calc() CSS function to calculate and set a value that mixes units, and more.
As part of this version, the following controls will get custom options:
This will be expanded further to additional areas in future releases.
How to Test It:
Container-Based Full Website Kits, Templates and Blocks
As Flexbox Containers has been officially marked as a beta experiment, since Elementor 3.8, meaning you can confidently use them on your website, the Library team has been working tirelessly to provide you with Container-based website assets.
Now, when you activate the Flexbox Container experiment, you will notice that youβve gotten a new library, made up entirely of container-based assets. This includes dozens of the most popular full website kits and page templates that have been converted from the section-column layout to the Flexbox Container layout, as well as brand-new Website Kits and page Templates.
With the new library, there are two additional noticeable changes. The first is that we introduced a new type of website kit - mini-shops, a one-page full website kit for ecommerce websites including PayPal and Stripe buttons for payment collection. The second is that all the previous Blocks (such as Contact, 404, etc.) have been replaced with completely new designs.
With the new, updated library, you will be able to kick-start your website creation and design process when enabling the Flexbox Container experiment, using the most up-to-date design trends. All the previous designs will still be available, if desired, by deactivating the Flexbox Container experiment (important note: deactivating the Flexbox Container experiment will remove all Containers and their content from your website).
How to Test It:
[Pro] Dynamic Due Date in Countdown Widget
The Countdown Widget, a great tool for creating FOMO and boosting conversion, is now getting a dynamic tag control for the due date. The due date in the Countdown widget allows you to set a specific date and time to count down to. With this update, you will be able to use native WordPress custom fields, as well as custom fields from ACF, and PODS to dynamically populate the due date.
With the dynamic due date, you will be able to use the Countdown widget anywhere on your website, or in a number of different pages, while managing the due date in a custom field in WordPress. This will allow you to make changes to the Countdownβs due date, across your website in one simple step.
How to Test It:
Disable Google Fonts
Google fonts, though a popular library for online fonts, exposes users to risk of violating GDPR and privacy regulation. To eliminate this risk, Elementor allows you to disable Google fonts from your website in a single click. When disabling Google fonts, you will no longer be able to use the online Google font library in the Editor, which will reduce the number of fonts available to you in the Editor to 7 fonts. If youβve used Google fonts on your website, but choose to disable Google fonts from your website, all fonts on your website will default to one of the available fonts on your website.
If you are an Elementor Pro user, you will be able to continue using locally hosted fonts and adding them using the Custom Fonts feature.
