I don't know if the new password is kept

I have tried to assign a different root password and when I restart the computer the password returns to toor, I clarify that all the user data remains the same.Also the command "service program start" does not work instead it only works with systemctl program start"

Edited: I already realized that there is a configuration file where you can add services to start and also to assign the users password... Is it possible to configure MiniOs so that it connects to a specific Wi-Fi whenever it starts? Since I want to work from the USB from different computers, but it starts and does not connect to Wi-Fi
