I was planning to use the internal API, unfortunately it is still undocumented til today. And the process of getting the auth token is not simple enough to make this node easy to use. |
Not sure about the history of their api.. But they got something on https://developer.athom.com/docs/api/ at least.. Is that the one you are looking for? I'm not quite sure yet who (homey or node-red) will get what jobs, but I was planning on using mqtt to talk between them. Going to keep an eye out for this project tho! Thanks! |
That is cloud-based API. I do not want my implementation to use any cloud
server to avoid maintainance cost as well as it not working when Internet
access is not available

I’m interested too. Using the web API is likely a good start point, and the only ‘easy’ path until Athom release (V2). |
I support your preference to avoid cloud based servers. A local Node-red + Homey could be a real winner in IOT / Home automation. |
@Mesyu I'm aware there is a local API currently being used by Home Assistant. However, I don't like the part where user really have to scout for the session key. If there is some other API that works locally without auth will be great. |
see privat email |
Please let me know whether you got my private message including the responds from the Homey development team. Is it of use? |
bump... Anything happening? |
New bump :) any news? |
Hello
Glad to see someone starting creating a better integration to homey than an mqtt bridge..
Do you think you will continue with this project? Or was it just an idea? 👍
