Please how do I load a different env file

Hi, I want to load .env.test.local instead of the default .env.local during the test but I can't seem to find anything about it
I've tried using dotenv but it's not update the process env

import dotenv from 'dotenv';
import { join } from 'node:path';
dotenv.config({
  path: join(import.meta.dir, '.env.test.local'),
});
console.log(process.env.NODE_ENV); // development
