using this on my ipad
importing a stl (tried with two different files, both do the same)
slice it
export to gcode, the file has size, 1.4mb, other file 8.7mb
using SD card bring to my Ender 3 V3 SE
Files are listed to print, but opening shows 0 lines, time, etc.
print it anyway it appears to go through the motion but no filament is used, nothing prints

Dear David,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding the printing issue you're experiencing. We apologize for the inconvenience this has caused and appreciate your patience as we work together to resolve it.

To better understand the problem, could you please provide more context about your observation of the printer "going through the motion"? Specifically, does the print head move as if it's printing your model, resulting in an extended printing time (e.g., over an hour for the model above)? Your clarification will help us investigate this further.

In a similar case, another user encountered issues with empty G-code files on their SD card. The root cause was the creation of duplicate files by their iPad, one of which was not initially visible on the 3D printer's UI. We recommend checking your 3D printer's panel interface by scrolling down to see if a secondary file is present. Please verify if this might be contributing to your issue.

Next Steps:

  1. Kindly provide additional details about the "going through the motion" behavior.
  2. Check for duplicate G-code files on your SD card as described above.

We value your feedback and look forward to your response, which will enable us to provide a tailored solution to get you printing successfully again. If you have any questions or concerns in the meantime, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Best Regards,
Vicinity International

I think I misspoke, it doesn’t go through the motions, it moves some and then stops.

And I have no empty files

Dear David,

We appreciate your prompt response to our inquiries and value the exchange of information so far. Although the issue persists, we believe further analysis is necessary to identify a suitable solution. To aid in this process, could you kindly assist us once more by providing the G-code file directly from the SD card?

Best Regards,
Vicinity International
