With the 23.3.x versions, I used to be able to play Second Life for hours on end almost without problems (crashing).

However, ever since I upgraded to the 24.0.x versions (after the "cannot start" bug gets fixed in 24.0.3), I now frequently crash. Oftentimes when I'm not really doing anything but just walk, and several times just staying in-place while dancing, and waiting for other avatars to render.

At the moment, I have reverted back to 23.3.5 and it seems stability is restored: Last night I spent several hours in Second Life without any crashes.

I do miss how fast 24.0.x is, but the number of crashes I experienced while using 24.0.x is just unbearable, so I grudgingly trade performance for stability.

Does anyone else have the same experience?

You should try collecting a call stack with MSVC, Windbg or x64dbg. Debug info package will help.
