I am wondering if it's possible (and how) to have permanent access to ISIG readings (raw data) without going into pump menu.
If ISIG can be displayed during initialization or delayed calibration as well as when calculated BG goes below 80 mg so maybe there's a chance I could have look into it through NS at any time.
It would be a great help to me unfortunately I am unfamiliar with apps codes and all the magic you do so I am not able to look through it.

  • Uploader version 0.7.3
  • Nightscout version 14.1.0

Thank for all your efforts you share with us.

ISIG is handled the way it is to reduce stress on the pump and uploader devices batteries. ISIG is only available when pump history is read and this op only done when needed, the uploader logic keeping that under 50 reads per day rather then 288+ reads if ISIG was continuous. Pump battery use in particular would increase considerably.

Saying that... the built in limit could be relaxed for those that want it.

I appreciate such a prompt reply.
I didn't realize it would mean considerable pump battery consumption.
But am I able to reach this data by myself when necessary (not being a part of each upload) ?
It probably means getting into uploader commands (which is definitely above my abilities)?

It's not going to be straight forward unless you have some familiarity with coding and tools used.

It could be looked at in a future build.

I'll keep the issue open for visibility and a reminder for later.

I have set the ISIG readings to 24h with a new sensor and I love the feature. So unless it really tears down battery on pump and uploader I would (if I could) enable it all the time. The reason? Sometimes I face quick drops in SG (hypo coming?) followed by a rebound. The ISIG readings are are giving a good extra hint if some extra sugar is necessary or if it might bottom out soon. I might be mistaken but found the SG levels were also calculated depending on the delta of previous ISIGs. Having the ISIG levels just gives the complete (and sometimes more accurate) picture.
