The Symfony Secrets management that was introduced with Symfony 4.4 offers an official solution for the original purpose of this bundle.

Active development on this project has therefore been stopped.
This bundle is an add-on for the PcdxParameterEncryptionBundle and enables simple usage of it in combination with the Composer package defuse/php-encryption.
You will be able to use the following ciphers:

Defuse PHP encryption
(proprietary, uses AES-128 for encryption and HMAC-SHA256 for authentication)
