Is this a new bug?

  • I believe this is a new bug
  • I have searched the existing issues, and I could not find an existing issue for this bug

Current Behavior

Folks have reported being confused by the the local experience, because they're expecting either:

  1. The local experience to create and bootstrap the same index used by the demo version that's iframed on our docs site
  2. The guide to explain how to find and use the same assets used by the production demo

Expected Behavior

Ideally, the app would programmatically bootstrap the index as needed, so that folks who clone the local app get the exact same experience that is running in prod.

Steps To Reproduce

Run npx create-pinecone-app@latest --template namespace-notes
