Doesn't seem to recognize PROXIMO_URL?

After following the steps outlined in the documentation, I'm still getting the message on startup that I need to install proximo. From everything I can tell, the bash script isn't able to recognize that it's set even though it is.

This is for a node.js app, though I don't think that's entirely relevant, since this isn't happening on the app at all.
