While using Zoom.us, MuteMe doesn't appear to mute. #10
Comments
I'm having the same issue! Yet, sometimes it does work and sometimes not. |
This issue still persists with v.1.2.0 |
@johncschuster @BalassaSamuelson It seems like you are using an external microphone which is selected as input audio device in System Preferences -> Sound -> Input. Now MuteMe mutes only one device which is selected there. But Zoom.us performs audio recording from built-in microphone (which is not muted). If I right you can try to select "Same as System" item (see screenshot) Let me know is it answer helpful or not. |
@proAlexandr I've changed my setting to Same as System and will let you know if I still experience issues. Thanks! |
@proAlexandr thanks for that! I'll give it a try and let you know if it keeps happening. |
We carefully tested zoom behaviour in the new version of the app which currently we distribute as a separate application https://mutify.app/. You can try it for free with 7-days trial and get 50% discount with promo code: MUTEME However, the existing opensource version will stay forever free. |
@johncschuster I voluntarily maintain this repository here: https://github.com/ImBIOS/mute-me |
Reproduction steps:
I've tested in Zoom's settings before a conference and found that even while MuteMe was active, My voice was still picked up while testing the input.
