Display PROJECT UNMAINTAINED warning #40
Comments
@sarink As I just got here the same way, do you know of any good alternative? |
@snipem @sarink We are happy to announce new version of the app which currently we distribute as a separate application https://mutify.app/ You can try it for free with 7-days trial and get 50% discount with promo code: MUTEME However, the existing opensource version will stay forever free. |
@lnikell this is exciting! I just installed the app, but are there instructions anywhere for how I get it to appear on the touchbar? |
@sarink It should be visible in your touchbar just after installation, the only one thing it could be that it could interfere with other apps since per Apple limitation it could be only one custom icon always available in the touchbar. Maybe you did not close or uninstall Mute Me app. If that's not an issue, let us know which version of the OS you use. |
@sarink so as per this limitation from Apple, the icon in the touch bar could be replaced with other apps such as Xcode or Itunes, but we added in the new release restoring the state of our app by clicking on the icon in the toolbar or dock. I will let you know when it will be the time to update the app. |
@sarink I voluntarily maintain this repository here: https://github.com/ImBIOS/mute-me |
You're the first result on google for "mac touchbar mute mic" yet this app is not maintained and doesn't work, as many other issues have pointed out in more detail. Can you display a warning to others so they don't waste their time if you don't plan on maintaining this app?
