TA Sections/Office Hours start this week + LaTeX help for presenters

Hi everyone,

As a reminder, sections and office hours start this week.

I will be going over LaTeX and other resources for the course this week in sections, but if you are presenting tomorrow and need help with LaTeX, feel free to drop by my office hours today 2-4 PM @ E2-403B. Here is a quick introduction to Beamer. There are also some resources linked in my answer here. Be sure to use the presentation template from Pascal and email me your slides by noon (abrahma@ucsc.edu) tomorrow.

Hi everyone, section notes will be posted here going forward. The LaTeX file can help you get started with presentations. There are more details on resources here, along with my section notes.

Remember that 10% of your grade comes active participation in section. Sections started this week and will continue until the end of the quarter and you can miss one without any penalty. This means you need to attend and actively participate in 8 out of 9 weeks.
