Cosmic-applets version:

cosmic-applets-1.0.0~alpha.4^git20250103.b65bb5f-1.fc41.x86_64

Specific applet that this is regarding (if applicable):

Workspaces and Launcher

Issue/Bug description:

When I have the Workspaces view open and start typing, I'd like it to open the Launcher applet and allow me to type there to search for apps.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open the Workspaces applet by clicking on the Workspaces button on the top left
  2. Start typing the name of an application

Expected behavior:

The Launcher (or Applications) applet should show up, take keyboard focus and search.

Other notes:

This would help users who are used to working with Gnome's overview.

Yes, like on gnome

https://youtu.be/1y2hjDHbySY?t=15

activate the overview and the launcher by pressing Super once
activate the application menu by pressing Super twice
activate the quick launcher by pressing Super + Space (like krunner)
