Can't launch 2024.1009.0 AppImage without root on Gentoo

Trying to launch the AppImage of the new update gives me following error:

This also happens after running an older version once and letting the updater download the new version which looks like this:

No osu! logs are created for this.

Running ./osu.AppImage --appimage-extract and launching AppRun inside the directory still works normally without root.

System:
OS: Gentoo 2.15 x86_64
Kernel: 6.11.2-gentoo-dist

I have found a workaround at ivan-hc/Steam-appimage#5: FUSERMOUNT_PROG=$(which fusermount) ./osu.AppImage.

It appears to be a bug with the AppImage runtime itself (AppImage/type2-runtime#31) so I'm closing this.
