Which Linux distribution are you using? Which pulseaudio-equalizer version are you using, and where did you get it from?

Are you using PipeWire? (pulseaudio-equalizer doesn't seem to work with PipeWire; use PulseEffects instead.)

I'm using Pop!_OS 20.04 and pulseaudio-equalizer 4.0 (29.01.2017), I installed it from the apt repository. PipeWire is installed, so is pulseeffects but that doesn't seem to work either: the equalizer effect in it is greyed out. Here's my system specs if that helps:

Make sure that you have installed "swh-plugins" ...

And run "pulseaudio-equalizer" from console, to see what its going on ;-)

Also, FYI, here its "pulseaudio-equalizer-ladspa" , but you are refering to "pulseaudio-equalizer" - we dont know its the same app ...
