more sorting options

The request here is to benefit for more sorting options. Currently I see only possibility for last action and title
what about author, status, ci-status, size

also, a more tricky ask would be to consider the case of multiple query fetching like

is:open author:@me; is:open author:@copilot assignee:@me; is:merged author:@me; is:merged author:@copilot assignee:@me

Above, there are 4 queries aggregated together in the display, and sorting option are applied globally (it seems)
I would like to get an option to keep the ordering of the query as defined in the setting and only applied the sorting within the group (so query per query)

I understand that this should not be the default, but we can imagine to add a checkbox in the setting for people to choose like:

About allow to sort across more columns, I do agree with you. I did not implement sorting on all columns initially because I was not sure of the value, and some columns have less of a natural ordering (e.g., status). If people find it useful, I would be more than happy to have it implemented, all the building blocks are already in place.

About maintain the query ordering, that is an interesting ask that brings to me a use case I did not initially consider. My current opinion was to move away from this ad-hoc syntax (i.e., split around ;) in favour of a proper OR boolean operator, now supported by GitHub (see #182). But if you query was rewritten as a single query and interpreted as such by GitHub (as opposed to 4 individual queries), the capability of maintaining query ordering could not easily be provided.

Could you please explain a little bit more how you would use such a capacity, especially as opposed to having 4 different sections for example?
