Remove v4.4 from Stable release

Based on the numerous issues and undocumented changes - it appears v4.4 should not have been released as stable and many changes were not even tested with a new RC prior to the extremely buggy and regressed functionality version being pushed incorrectly as stable when it is clearly anything but.

Why was v4.4 not properly tested and vetted prior to pushing a buggy, crashing, removal of functionality, undocumented changes, and undocumented API breaking changes out the door?
