A bit involved, but you could stop the torrent as soon as all the files appear on the internal disk, then copy some (uncompleted) files on the external disk and replace on internal disk each copied file with a symlink to the corresponding file on external disk. Then restart the torrent. |

Interesting and it may work if qbit follows the symlink (does it?!), but my use-case is to detach the external HDD so not exactly applicable. Thanks though. |

Sure it does follow the symlink. I mean a real symlink (one you create for example with mklink command in Windows), not a shortcut icon. |

You guys know any way to have two copies of the same torrent?
I want to download some part of a large torrent to an external disk and some other parts to an internal disk.
I probably have to change the hash somehow not to get the "wanna merge?" popup, but don't know how. Any ideas?!
