Reactive routes rest calls

Is there a way we can route vert.x reactive routes to other routes in other external applications? For example, make a rest call with reactive routes instead of using the jax-rs standard rest client. I could not retrieve this kind of information neither in quarkus documentation about reactive routes nor in vert.x documentation.
