Have you considered the possibility of utilizing a selfhosted secrets manager such as vault?

As the tool is self hosted it might be cleaner, especially considering this would remove the need to use bitwarden's secrets manager for the vaultwarden users.

Believe me, I initially considered adding support for other Secret Managers like HashiCorp. In fact, I personally use it as a VPS for some projects and I agree that it is an excellent tool. However, the main idea behind lazywarden was that your passwords would never leave your Bitwarden instance, so I decided to use their built-in Secret Manager.

I see that many more people are adopting Vaultwarden and might prefer this integration, I will definitely consider it for one of the next pending updates. Appreciate this feedback 🤙

I've been eyeballing this tool for a while now and finally decided to deploy on my home server. Was a little upset that in order to back up my locally hosted Vaultwarden instance in a locally hosted docker container I need to rely on an external service.
Is there / Will there be a way to get by using only local resources?
