Inspiration and entrypoint logic from php composer.
In what ever way you use it, you will have to setup a volume with your project content; the easiest way to do that is by
setting up your current working directory. i.e by passing in the docker run
option --volume=$(pwd):/project
.
Here is the safest way to run it; with the same privileges as your user. i.e by passing in the docker run
option
--user=$(id -u):$(id -g)
The entrypoint script can take all gitman
commandline options.
docker run --rm -it \
--user="$(id -u):$(id -g)" \
--volume="$(pwd):/project" \
init
default: /project
If you fancy setting up the project volume to be somewhere other than /project
, you will need to set this variable up.
default: /tmp
This is the folder that gitman
uses for caching git repos.
