Actually useful QR/Barcodes for labels #321

Hi @NedPool - are you using the custom label editor? It should allow you to encode any value using various properties of a part, or even custom text. At least, that's how I designed it a while back so I do hope it's still working (halfway across the world right now so can't test) I'll definitely review this as I'm going to make some changes to support more label printers and printing from the browser itself. Open to suggestions :) |

I'm so sorry... /facepalm As for the actual printing, I think the issue derives from the label printer having different X/Y values for DPI. The label printer only seems to support 180x180 DPI (standard res) or 180x360 DPI (high res). At that small of a scale, I understand it can be difficult to get it correct for all printers but I'm willing to test for you, if you need! |

Can we have some control over what is put in the QR/barcodes generated for the labels? As it currently is, the QR/barcode only includes basic part info (part #, desc, quantity, etc); this is... less than useful for most cases.(I'm stupid)It would be great if we could configure what is put into the QR/barcode; like the part URL, or a form for quantity adjustment, etc.
Also, the current DPI settings available make it very difficult to print to a label printer. The actual printing works, but the scaling makes it totally unreadable and un-scannable. I have a Brother PT-P710BT, for printer type reference.
EDIT: I am also self-hosting via docker on Unraid, if that makes a difference.
Thank you for the great work! I will absolutely support the development of this in any way I can!
