Image size and resolution

Do you have a recommended image size to use the full pipeline? Since there are some resize operations in the different modules, I am wondering if it is worth it to run it with high resolution images (e.g. 2592x1944).  
Also, could you confirm what the units for the resolution parameter should be (resolution_information.csv)?
