Currently this is how meta-data is being added to location updates. let roamPublish = RoamPublish()
let dict = ["key":"value"]
roamPublish.meta_data = dict
Roam.publishSave(roamPublish) And, this meta-data will be added to all the location updates, until the removed or updated again. But the chances are that the updates meta-data can be added to multiple location updates and there is no control over this. In order to solve this, we can use the let roamPublish2 = RoamPublish()
let dict2 = ["key":"value", "key2":"value2"]

When
being a developer, during
updateCurrentLocation()
methodI want to
send custom meta-data (ie. key value pairs) along with that specific location update
So that
we can tag the meta-data only to single location update and not for all the location update, when we add the same using
publishSave()
method.Things to notice
publishSave()
method already has meta-data added, this will be overwritten by the meta-data passed inupdateCurrentLocation()
method and applied only for that specific location update and rest will continue to use the previous configurations passed inpublishSave()
method.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
