I have been using this https://github.com/bluenviron/mediamtx.git for 7x24 recording and streaming source for Viseron for quite a while. I think it's working well together.
The mediamtx is configured to take inputs from cameras and serve as RTSP stream server. Viseron then can either take inputs directly from cameras or from the server. In my case I have mobilized to mediamtx.
Some cameras such as tp-link has limits on the number of stream subscribers at 3 can benefit from this server because usually we have one for Android, one for Mediamtx/Viseron and the last for a local NVR machine as a last resort. Other cameras usually don't have this limit. Mediamtx can then perform full-time recording while serves Viseron.

This is just an idea that I have explored.
