Still relevant? |
Why not create completely new graphics for version 2? |
Hmm.. I don't understand what that represents :) |
It's a roman helmet tuned by RSS Feeds xD I just figure out that "Rome" in french doesn't means the same thing in english or in german :-p |
Aaaah now I see what it is. Looked like a ghost with a big nose to me before :D |
Loool! a ghost with a big nose... good idea btw xD |
@optyler: nice idea! But this kind of helmet looks more greek than roman, at least roman helmets I've ssen hadn't a nose cover. @PatrickGotthard: How about combining these two ideas? A more roman looking helmet with the feed "waves" as "cockscomb" (don't know if this is the right term, on german, the "mohawk haircut" on helmets is called "Hahnenkamm") as "o" in "Rome". And when used in real small sizes, we could just use the helmet as logo. On the Feed Icon Guidelines I don't see a restriction that prohibits the use, but I think we should ask them when using a derivation of their icon as project logo. |
Simple and clear :-) |
The sans serif logo is indeed simple and clear and I really enjoyed @optyler 's attempt and so I took it a step further. Also I think people will be expecting some kind of Roman typeface. I tried to incorporate the RSS icon in the helmet as a subtlety. Either way, hope this helps and feedback is much appreciated! |
Pro work! Love it :-) |
That looks great :) |
Hi @ALL, two years later I would like to revive this discussion. I have slightly modified your helmet so that the RSS waves are more visible. What do you think? Regards, |
Hi all, I really like your RSS waves much more. Thanks @PatrickGotthard @mishako , I really like Cinzel, and I think it might work if the helmet was not as dominating. The reason I chose that Roman font was because there was balance of weights between icon and typeface. |
The helmet is more similar to hellenic stuff ... |
Needed for eclipse feature Icon
I have polished a resized rome logo to 32x32, will attach if able to.
