Mass Implication Tagging?

I realized at some point that implications were a thing, and I have over a 1000 posts that need to have the implications added for their respective tags, but there is no way to do it other than either making a script to go through every post one by one using the API or do it manually one by one. This feature would help massively!

I would like to add, I was quite surprised that implications aren't applied when using the API?
If tag_a implies tag_b and I add tag_a via the API, it doesn't seem to add tag_b.
Is that expected behaviour, or an oversight?
